Hello & happy Monday to all of YOU! 🙂 I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Our weekend was awesome, & we had gorgeous spring weather to enjoy it in. It can’t get any better than that! ha! 😉 Which brings me to this fun & easy SPRING inspired neon paper pinwheels tutorial that I made this month as part of The Silhouette Challenge. OK, so let’s get started! 😉

supplies

You’ll need the following for this project:

this pinwheel image from the Silhouette online store
a Silhouette
colorful neon scrapbook paper
Elmer’s X-TREME glue stick
cookie sticks (from the baking section)
hot glue gun & glue sticks
brads

image

First you’ll open up your pinwheel image in your Silhouette software. Size it however big or small you’d like to make them. My biggest square measured 4 inches by 4 inches to give you idea of the size I used.

Then cut out your shapes with your Silhouette.

Then using your Elmer’s X-TREME glue stick (I love this glue!) you’ll glue the smaller square to the bigger square. Make sure you line up your cut lines & the small hole right in the middle.

Then you’ll fold each corner that has a hole in it into the middle. Secure with a brad. Then you’ll hot glue your pinwheel to a cookie stick. These would also look super cute glued to paper straws! 🙂 This is a perfect kid’s craft, spring table or party decoration, rainy day activity & the perfect addition to your spring projects. Wouldn’t they make a cute wreath or garland? 🙂
