Good morning! January is National Soup Month, & in my opinion, there is no other month better than January for a bowl of hot, warm & most of all, yummy soup. January can be so cold, and a bowl of warm soup is one of the best ways to warm up after a snow day or busy day at work or school. Annnnnd when you use Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups, they will deliver an easy dinner your family will love, and you will love how comfort is made so, so easy. Today I’d love to share an easy Creamy Potato Soup recipe with you along with an easy Caesar Salad recipe to go along with that for a quick & easy dinner idea for you & your family. Let’s get started! 🙂
For this creamy potato soup you will need:
2 packets Idahoan Steakhouse Soups Creamy Potato Soup
8 cups of water
bacon, cooked & crushed
This soup bring together real Idaho potatoes (yum!) with the perfect seasonings & rich cheeses to provide a creamy, hearty taste in every single bite. Annnnd you won’t believe how easy it is to make!
All you’ll need to do to prepare this soup is to heat the water on the stove in a saucepan until it’s boiling, & then whisk the contents of the two pouches into the hot water. Reduce the temperature & simmer for 5 minutes on the stove. Remove from heat & let the soup stand for 5 minutes.
While our creamy potato soup was standing on the stove, I made this easy Ceasar Salad to go along with it. Yum!
To make this salad you will need:
1/2 cup Caesar dressing
1 bunch washed Romain lettuce (torn into smaller pieces)
2 cups garlic croutons
2/3 cups grated Parmesan Cheese
Put dressing and then lettuce in a large bowl. Stir until lettuce is coated. Sprinkle on the croutons & cheese.
To serve this meal, I sprinkled the creamy potato soup with the crushed bacon & serve the salad on the side. Yep, I love having a complete dinner for my family ready under 20 minutes. 🙂
Annnnnd my family loved having something hot & warm to fill their tummies. 🙂
