Cute DIY Jack-O-Lanterns + Giveaway {tutorial}

This post is not sponsored. Affiliate links are used. Thank you so much for supporting Ginger Snap Crafts. Also, a big thank you to Cricut and Xyron for supplying some of the product for this post.

Good morning! This year is truly flying by! October is already here! What the what? Crazy! I am excited to partnering with the lovely ladies from Team Creative Crafts to bring you some last minute Halloween crafts. I am excited to share this Cute DIY Jack-O-Lanterns tutorial with you. We also have a giveaway for $100 JoAnns gift card and two huge rolls of gold & silver Cricut Iron-on vinyl! So you’ll want to read all the way to the bottom of this post & enter to win that. Let’s get started!

For this project you will need:
4×4 wood cube
sandpaper
Minwax wood finishing wipes
orange paint
paint brush
rubber gloves
wood stems
hot glue gun
glue sticks
black vinyl
transfer tape
Cricut Joy
ribbon
scissors
this Design Space file

First, I used my Cricut Joy & some Smart Vinyl to cut out my jack-o-lantern faces.

I used permanent vinyl because that’s what I had on hand, but removeable vinyl would work just as well.

I trimmed my vinyl. Then removed the excess leaving my design behind.

Next, I put transfer tape on top and cut my faces apart.

Then I painted my wood cube orange. Let dry.

I sanded the edges to distress. Then I rub on some wood stain with the wipes.

Next, it was time to add the pumpkin stem. I cut these from a branch I found in my yard!

Just hot glue the stem right on top!

Next, I cut a cute ribbon & tied it in a knot around the stem.

Then I added my vinyl face. So cute!

These little guys are so simple, so they would make a great kid craft.

They are adorable, and add just a little bit of Halloween fun to your décor! 🙂

Enter to win the $100 gift card for JoAnns and
two giant rolls of Cricut Iron-on (gold & silver) below. Good luck!
