Good morning! Today I am excited to be participating in the #handmadeholidays blog hop. Iβm excited to be sharing this Oh Christmas Tree DIY Sign tutorial with you. I also have links to some amazing holiday dΓ©cor ideas from some of your favorite bloggers. Annnnnnd we have a giveaway. Keep reading! π
For this project you will need:
black vinyl
wooden board
wood trim
nails
hammer
white paint
paint brush
wood stain
digital craft cutter like a Cricut or Silhouette
I used images from Silhouette. Find them here and here.*
*If you own a Cricut, never fear! I show you how to import Silhouette designs into Design Space right here
First, I painted & stained the pieces of my sign & frame. Then I assembled my frame. You can see how I made a similar wooden sign right here. Then I cut out my vinyl lettering. You can see how I do that right here.
Then I applied my vinyl lettering to my sign. I carefully removed the transfer paper leaving the black vinyl lettering behind. Easy! π
I love how easy & fun vinyl is to work with. Itβs my favorite crafting tool, for sure! π
This sign is going to look amazing on my mantel or on a shelf. I might even put it on top of my DIY shelf & coat rack. You can see that here.
What do you plan to make this holiday season? Iβd love to hear!
Be sure to enter the fun giveaway below. Good luck! π

Cute–I like the row of trees.
I love this! Using the row of trees in place of the words is brilliant. I seriously need one of those cutting machines.
This is too cute! And I seriously need to get a cutting machine so I can make these fun projects π
Best,
Kelly
this is such a cute sign!
