Thank you to DecoArt for supplying some of the supplies for this project.
Good morning! Today I’d love to show you how I made this easy DIY Thankful Sign.
For this project you will need:
American Decor Golden Brown Crème Wax
foam paint brush or old rag
sand paper
24 inch 1×10 board
vinyl lettering

First, you will sand your board & wipe away any excess sawdust. Then it was time to paint! Honestly when I grabbed this jar out of my chalk paint stash I just read the lid ~ Golden Brown. I thought it was paint! ha! As soon as I put it on my board I could tell it was different. A little thinner than chalk paint with a more transparent look but with excellent coverage. I love that you can still see the wood grain through the crème wax. I did one coat, & then let the board dry.
After the board was nice & dry I used some sand paper to lightly distress the edges, & then I applied my vinyl lettering. You can check out a more detailed how to cut & apply vinyl lettering tutorial right {HERE}.
I kind of love how it turned out! Annnnd I am thankful for my little model! 😉
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! We have our last football & soccer games. I love watching my kiddos play but it will be nice to have our weekends free again. Annnnd maybe I’ll get to sleep in next Saturday. 😉 Enjoy your weekend, & I’ll see you back here on Monday!
Thank you so much stopping by my blog!
