Good morning! Happy Friday! We have been iced in all week. Annnnd we are going a little stir crazy around here. haha! Which is why I am glad for this lovely little distraction today! I am so excited to be teaming up with Team Creative Crafts to bring you some fun Valentine printables, cut files & more! Annnnd I am super happy to be sharing how to make your own cut files using Cricut Design Space. Isn’t this Valentine’s tee so cute? Let’s get started! 🙂

To make this tee you’ll need:

Cricut Maker 3 or other Cricut machine

Cricut Smart Iron-on (I used hot pink)

Cricut EasyPress 2

Cricut EasyPress Mat

pink t-shirt

First, you’ll need to design a cut file. My daughter made this cute XOXO cut file by drawing the XOXO using her Ipad Pro. Which makes it super cool because this is her own handwriting. You could also use a photo editing place like PicMonkey or Canva to design a cute file using your favorite fonts & designs. TIP: The simpler the design the easier it is to make a nice clean cut file. Save your design to your computer and your ready for the next step!

Making your own cut files is so easy! You could also do this with your Silhouette as well. Just fyi.

In Cricut Design Space open up a new canvas. Click on upload.

Then click upload image.

Then click browse.

Find your image and click open.

Select the image type. For this image I chose simple.

Next you are going to click all the areas around your image. See how the middle of last O is still solid. Click that so it all has the blue and white squared background. Then click apply and continue.

I chose cut image for mine. Then I named mine XOXO and gave it a Valentine tag. Then I clicked upload.

It’s that easy. Upload it to your canvas. Make sure the lock is on, and then you can resize it to fit your project. 🙂

You could use this file to make a cute tee, embellish a gift bag or tag or make some cute Valentine home décor.

You want to try it out? Right click the image below & save it, & then try it yourself.

Let me know how it goes! Happy Creating! 🙂
