monday’s mom {summer schedule}

I love summer time.
I really do.
Each summer we have a summer schedule posted on the fridge.
A summer calendar all filled up with what we are going to do this summer.
We don’t want to miss a thing!
I just met a new blog friend, Melissa, from over at the Pleated Polka Dot.
{She’s actually my partner in the Craftaholic Anonymous handmade gift exchange!
I’m so excited!!! 🙂  Just started working on her homemade goody, too. :)}
OK…anyways back to the subject…summer time!
I was reading Melissa’s blog the other day, and I came across this post.

She wrote about wanting to make sure her kiddos have an {intentional summer}.
“An {intentional summer} just means that you plan for things.  You make fun things happen.”

Love that! Making fun things happen.
Making fun summer memories.
Making sure we do everything that makes summer so special!

This summer our schedule is pretty simple.
Monday {Work in the Garden Day/family home evening}
Tuesday {Swimming}
Wednesday {Park & Library day}
Thursday {Swimming} gotta love our neighborhood pool 🙂
Friday {Fun Friday}
We go somewhere fun….zoo, museum, splash park, nature center, etc.
We also have a big family vacation coming up in July {So excited!},
along with family & cousins coming into town, camps & other summer goodness to enjoy.

I want to treasure every moment of  this {intentional summer}.
What are your summer plans?

  1. Great summer plans, I'm sure your kids will love it. Both my hubby and I work outside of the home so we have our little boy in a great sports camp that he loves. He will get to swim everyday, play tennis, and other sports. I would like to plan some additional activies at home, like a picnic, hotdog roast, make our own icecream, etc…..

  2. My sisters are way into a summer schedule. They are really funny about it. They have fieldtrip Friday, workout wed (I do this one). I don't remember the other days but it always starts with the first letter of the day. I love your ideas. Thanks for sharing.

    We have a summer schedule as well. Mondays are catch up from the weekends, Tuesday is splash park or swimming somewhere, Wednesday we will head to the library, Thursday is discover NWA park day and Friday is open for adventures. Sounds like we have similar plans. Let's get together sometime.

  4. What great pics of your kids getting wet! I love the label intentional also- anything that can be labeled "intentional" just seems like a good thing, eh? 🙂 Hope your week keep up great! Thanks for your well wishes with the move!

  5. What a great idea – I need to make sure my son has an {intentional summer} too! Great blog! I am your newest follower! Hugs, antonella 🙂
