It’s strawberry picking time around our house!!
Which means it’s time for some strawberry freezer jam!
Don’t you just love my little helpers?
Last year I made strawberry freezer jam for the first time
You can see that post {HERE}.
This year I wanted to try a recipe with a little less sugar.
So I found one, & you don’t even have to cook anything.
Wahoo! Now that’s my kind of recipe!
You’ll need:
Instant Pectin from Ball
{I found it at Walmart in the canning aisle.}
5 cups strawberries
2 cups sugar
6 tbs. pectin
First you’ll mash up your strawberries
with a potato masher in a bowl.
Then mix the sugar & pectin together in a separate bowl.
Pour your strawberries into your pectin/sugar mixture.
Stir for about 3 minutes. Pour into jars. {I LOVE the plastic freezer jars.}
Then let it sit on the counter for 30 minutes.
Keeps in the fridge for 3 weeks or in the freezer for a year.
Enjoy!
Thank you so much stopping by my blog!
If this is your first time visiting I’d love to keep in touch.

Oh thank you for the recipe, I am having strawberry week on my blog, I have never made jam, but I will be this week.
I am so jealous that you're picking berries already! My plants have blossoms, but still no berries. Enjoy that jam!
How wonderful that you have your own strawberry patch! YUM!!
Hey Sweetie, I had a hard time getting to the bottom to link up there's so many cool links at this party.
Thanks for having me, have a great week.
Seriously?!?!? I was all prepared to boil and mash and measure and FAIL, but this is so easy – How could I possibly mess this up?!?! Thanks for sharing. Planing on making some on Friday 🙂 Can't wait!
I just made this and it is the best jam I have ever had 🙂 the hubs loves it as well. Now I know a great and easy recipe and would make a great little gift as well.
Can you substitute peaches or plums with this recipe?
made this last year……would not set up, very runny
My husband loves strawberry preserves, so I'm definitely going to try this, Thanks for sharing.
I made peach freezer jam and put it in the freezer. I took some out to unthaw and use to find it didn't set. Can the others in the freezer be saved and if so how?
This is the only kind of jam I've made. It's not super set up like store bought jam. It taste yummy though. 🙂
how many jars/oz does this recipe make?
The strawberries look great and are very good
